Help choosing brand of soft top

I own a 1998 Jeep TJ Sport, It has 60,000 miles, black with original spice top. I would like to purchase a new soft top. I am having a terrible time deciding what company sells the best soft top for installation and wear. Need help.

What have you looked at so far? If you haven't yet, I'd say to start w/ Quadratec.com, use the soft top advisor, it should help answer some questions, at least point you in the direction you need to be looking, then it's just a matter of finding the right price, much easier AFTER you decide what you want, eh?

Yeah, I forgot about that option, try Craigslist locally, you might find a better top than whatever is wrong w/ your current one!

I would highly recommend the Bestop replace-a-top for Wesa. This top is awesome. Very easy to install, it took me about 20 minutes to install the top and about 20 minutes to do my upper doors. Cost me about $500 with tinted windows included shipping. If you are looking for a quieter top go with the sailcloth, runs more around $750 with tinted windows, also highly recommended. Some say that the sailcloth is about as loud as a hardtop. Scotie I would recommend the Bestop Supertop. It includes everything you need. I know many people who have gone with this top who also only had a hard top. Takes a little longer but not very hard either. Bestop is the best company to go with as they have specialized in Jeeps and worked to figure out most problems that us Jeepers could encounter. All IMO! Good Luck!

My last two were Besttop replace a top, did them both in January and it was not easy. Eneded up taking it to a friends shop where I could heat the whole jeep and new top to room temps. Before you start release the top and pull one of the screws in the front stock channel, take it and go to a hardware store and get a few stainless steel replacements, you may break a few getting the old ones out. If you wait till it happens it could be a rather breezey winter ride to get replacments
