Help from anyone who drops their Transmission Soon

I just got done rebuilding my NV3550 transmission, and I can't turn my input shaft, even in neutral. I'm wondering if this is just because everything is new and tight or if I have something bound up.

My question is, if anyone drops their tranny in the next couple of days, like for clutch work to see if they can rotate the input shaft by hand.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hiya, I just did some work on my Liberty which also has a NV3550.

Yes you can turn the input shaft by hand easily. You sure you don't have two gears engaged?

What do you mean by two gears? As in two gears simultaneously i.e. 1 and 3?

When I had the two case halves loose fit together(just sitting on alignment dowels) I could turn the input a few turns either direction, until it would bind. I assumed it was just binding as something was moving out of place not having the case to have a solid hold on the shafts.
