Depends on your wheeling needs. If you don't need the bigger tires and lift, get the cycle. A stock rubicon should be enough to get you through alot of trails.

I rode motos before having a jeep.. I sold my yammi r1 before summer.. Then I could not stand not riding and just bought another bike.

I have to say I am more into ridig my moto than my jeep.. For me its an hour drive to get to a wheeling site. In my moto it is 10 feet to the street. and 10 minutes to the twisties (winding roads).

I love riding.. I dont think I could ever stop. But I know I can give up my jeep/offroading for another car. Having a jeep is a piece of mind that I can go anywhere. I can go snowboarding in the winter without worring about chains, camping trips. etc.. But it seems I dont do enough of that..

If I were to live at a place without twisty winding roads, and no race track. I dont think I would be riding a bike that much.

If you are getting a bike for stunting, straight roads, freeways.. etc.. it gets boring real fast.

What kind of bike are you looking to get and what kind of riding are you planning to do.. Please dont tell me you are getting a bike to save gas etc.. the death toll is 3 times higher this year for the national average, due to people with no riding experience getting a bike..

i was looking at a dual purpose bike made by kawasaki, the klx 250
i have some land in wisconsin with trails so it would be perfect, like a jeep on two wheels

and of course, burn less gas...

Mom bribed me.... Sold a Gsxr 600 and she gave me her jeep.. I was just in it for the occaisonal fun ride through the twisties, Never really got hardcore into it. It really depends on the person, I know people that LIVE for riding motorcycles, but like I said, I just did it for fun so driving the jeep with the top down, doors off can give me just as big of a smile (OK, not just as big..... but pretty damn close)

Wow, Im in the same boat your are. Let me know what you decide to do.

RE 4.5 superflex, bigger tires and wheels, and gears or...

a sport/ sport touring bike. Although I love the look of the z1000's.

I was in the EXACT same situation. My buddy was even willing to give me a deal on his Ninja. But I went with a lift and tires instead. I mean, I can only ride the bike in the summer, and by the time I got it I'd only have maybe a month of good riding left. I'm happy with my choice.

I cant coplain I got my lift used for 400 bucks used.. 3.5 re SF with bilstien shocks.. If I did not find this deal I would ever spend 1500 bucks on it.

OP get a motorcycle. a street legal dual sport is awsome aka supermoto/motard. I know lots of people who gave up their ss bikes for them and love it. I cant give up a ss bike for one but would love to have both when the time is right..

the rubi would be more then enough if you are not hard core offroading, besides the looks of a lift.. get a 2'' spacer lift for now and use the stock shocks.. I was happy/miss it when I had it.. it was a nice ride and only costed 60 bucks..
