Help. No roof rack

I'm driving my jeep from Colorado to Florida and it's pretty full on the inside and I don't have a roof rack. Does anyone have any ideas on how to strap a pair of skis to the roof??

Either smash the skis in there. lol or strap them to the top, if you have a soft top.

Hard top would be a little tougher.

Yea I have a hard top. I'm trying to think of a way that I can tie them down, bringing the straps from the inside but I need to be able to close my windows.

Im thinking take the hardtop off, lay the ski's on the roll bars lengthwise so they fit with the boot part faceing down, and you might be able to put the hardtop back on and the skis would fit snug.

Dude... it's August. All of the ski resorts in Florida are closed for the season.

Strap them to the spare tire. They make nice racks for that.

If you have a hitch, get a hitch basket at the tractor store. Pretty cheap, and lots of storage space (for highway trips. not so great off road).
