Help on seat covers

I want to buy some front seat covers for my 99 tj Saharah. I am not sure which ones to buy? I am trying to get a very tight fit so they will not slip, or move around too much. I have looked at the neoprene 2 pc, and also the Best top 1 pc covers. I was wondering if anyone here has purchased seat covers and could recommend the best ones.. These are the ones I was just looking at.

All Things Jeep - Bestop® Front Seat Covers for Jeep® Wrangler TJ 97-02, High Back Bucket Seats

Thanks in advance...

I wouldnt buy those for the fact they are $150 and arent waterproof. Trust me, you want waterproof! So you dont have to buy new seats lol.

Not True.
Actually, those seat covers you posted are about as "waterproof" as you're going to get. They're Vinyl.
Just like a thick parka that you would wear at a ball game in the rain.
The only place the water may come through is the loop hole on the seat.
I've had them for a year now with ZERO problems, and yeah there's been a few "beverages" spilled.
All I've ever had to do was take a warm damp cloth and wash them off a bit.
Good as new.
Nothing ever got onto my seat.

I'm not saying they'd be the seat cover for you....because I don't know you.
But they are heavy duty, and don't allow the water to soak through.
At the same time, I don't leave my Jeep sitting out in the rain for hours.
If you do that, I think any seat cover will fail you.

If you find that you want some, here's a link that will save you some money:
Bestop 29226-15 - Bestop High Back Front Seat Covers in for 97-02 Jeep® Wrangler TJ - Quadratec

Best of luck.

I just put the Bestop seat covers on my Jeep about two weeks ago. They're not super tight, but they don't move or slide around much. They're a little wrinkly from being in the box, but I hear that will smooth out once they are in the sun a bit. They are heavy vinyl and should be pretty close to waterproof.

Here's a pair on Amazon for $100 shipped:

Amazon.com: Bestop 29227-15 Black Denim Front Seat Cover: Automotive

Ok, the link isn't showing up for some reason. But they are available there for cheap.

I've seen some pictures of the Iggee seat covers and I think they look nicer but they're also twice as much $$$.

I really like those Iggee's too!
If I was doing it all over again,
I think I'd buy them just because they look alot nicer.
Pricey though.

Don't know what color of covers you're looking for but go to Quadratec and check out their "overstock" section. They have the Bestop for $79.00. I have em and haven't had any issue.

Dude, I just got the coverking covers as well. They fit tight and look really good. The clips that attach below the seat are crap and break really easily, but you don't really need them.

When I bought my jeep, it included new neoprene 2 piece covers. They were tight in the beginning, but loose in 6 months. I'm constantly adjusting the lower piece on the driver side. If you tighten the straps enough to keep them in place, it rips the stitching open. If you spill water on them, you get water rings when it dries. And they don't come out. I'll be looking for something else when it comes time to replace them.

I've had Rugged Ridge seat protectors #13235.01 on my 03 Rubicon for over a year with no problems or complaints. Plus they come with all sorts of storage pouches on the back. $64 a pair from CSE offroad.

Yes, I am going with the Iggees! Black and charcoal.. Not a bad price and they do look great! Carcrazy got me going and then you saying that you liked them better than the Besttops pretty much convinced me, but when beachcomber posted the pictures I was sold. There only about 50 bucks more than the Besttops... Thanks again for the input. It's nice to have a place like this to talk about it! This place is the cheapest I have found them so far..

I just noticed that it appears that the the seat release levers seem to be covered with the Iggees? Is there a slit in the cover for the levers? Question to beachcomber , or anyone else?

BEST IGGEE prices

if you are pricing Iggee's seat covers look at ebay.

They are 270 shipped anywhere in US.

That's 270 for both front and rear seats. (read each auction carefully, but all that I read say that the price of 245.00 is for both front and rear seats...then you add their standard shipping of 25.00)

not too bad IMO. Especially considering the 200.00 price on their website for just the fronts...

I'll post pics when mine arrive. They will be bright...esp in my Black Jeep...
