Help on Tube steps for my jeep!

Well I am in to my next accessory for my jeep. I installed a 3" lift and some 32's and its a Lil high for my kids to step into so u want to add some 3"sidesteps round ones just basic I'm not into the rock bashing and all that u just 2 track and play in the mud a Lil sometimes. Was wanting some input in some decent steps just black ones is fine but I noticed some mount to the frame, and some mount to a bracket. If mounted to the frame how is that done, being a solid tube frame that is. Any brands good or all the same in that sort of step? Thanks.

Not many, I think. At least, not the ones who regularly post. Steps get torn off in the rocks.

Now to answer your question. If it were me, I'd pick up a set of black nerf bars. I personally think they look decent and make a great step. I know there I've seen a few people on here who had them and they looked good. They're not terribly expensive, either.

C'mon nef bar guys, speak up.

I just installed the Smittybuilt sure steps on mine. I went with the black textured. I don't go off roading so I am not worried about them ripping off or getting scratched... They were super cheap compared to others and decent quality. The installation was a breeze. They sell them at Morris4x4.com.

Good luck!

I have these on 2 of my TJ's. Easy to install, you remove 2 body bolts on each side. I do a ton of mudding, no rock crawling so they stay in good shape for me.

Rampage Products 9425 - Rampage Side Bars for 87-06 Jeep® Wrangler YJ & TJ - Quadratec

They work good for getting in and out.

First thing I pulled off mine… PO high centered on them and did damage to the rocker panels.

Had mine, took them off. God knows how but somehow I bent one downwards out in some sandy jersey hill climbs...

They're going to mount at 2 of the body mount locations under the door. They get sandwiched in there.

michiganhunter, you might check on Craigslist. I see some for sale in my area from time to time. Also, check out the classifieds here. I know I've read of several people taking them off their Jeeps. You might find a real bargain.
