Do you have any switches in the doors?? Do the wires pass thru the body and into the door?? There should be nothing in the door that's electric

Those are for the door chime and radio shut off, if I am not mistaken. When you fix your pictures, might have a better answer.

I wouldn't go around pulling on wires not knowing where it goes to but the only time you would have wires going into the doors would be if you have keyless entry for the power door lock motors. The main control box for a keyless system or alarm usually is under the dash driver's side. If that's the case, just snip the wires and install speaker wire disconnects like these at the door hinges.

Kinda looks like disconnectors already. But I can't figure how to pull thwm apart. Its too hard the top slip just gets pulled back

Get 2 pliers, grab at neck of the disconnects and pull. If all else fails, just cut and install new disconnects. Mine are the ones in pic and makes removing doors with power door locks easy. Make sure to remove fuse #4 behind glovebox after door removal to disable the interior lights.

I am so curious as to what they are for. Did you figure it out?

Extra speakers? Marker lights on your mirrors? Door handle zappers for car prowlers?

The suspense is killing me!

Please show a photo of your doors with wires hanging out of them. The SE has zero options for anything stock in the doors as all. So it is definitely aftermarket stuff added by the previous owner.

Show us the doors and maybe we can help you figure it out. Also, the SE was not available with full doors, only the half. I think you mentioned having soft uppers. The half doors are hollow - no guts save for the lock mechanism.

We all are very curious to see what is up with your mystery doors...

Simple. Take the door panel off and see where they are going.

The middle pic shows the wires (yellow and white) sorry for the side shot.
But they go into a black cylinder shape thing one of the pics is a front shot and the others a back shot

Yep. Door locks. Not much use if you do not have the proper remote.

If you do not want to mess with these (if you can even figure out whether they even work any more) I would not hesitate to remove them.

Mystery aftermarket stuff is always funky. I tend to yank everything I see that is not supposed to be there if it is not clearly attached to something and working properly.

My 2003 Sport came with a spider web of very fine wires all over the tub connected to little LEDs underneath the edge of the tub. It must have been a very fun ride while he tripped on X, an off-road rave-mobile of sorts.

I pulled all that crap out. Made me happy to see it go. Less of the former owner, more of me in the rig.

After a year I finally removed the last nonfunctional mystery switch and wiring behind the dash. Nice!

Good luck with figuring out what you want to do and then doing it.

Post some pics here after you are finished and tell us what you did.

Wade
