Help with a Wrangler I might get

I've been trying to sell/trade my 04 Duramax and I have someone that wants to trade me a 02 Wrangler with 6" lift and all sorts of goodies. I was psyched about the trade until I learned that the steering is loose, the check engine light is on from a supposed bad coil, and the AC doesn't blow cold. I've read about how to fix the steering (adjusting the toe) and I'm not too worried about replacing the coil, I'm mostly worried about the AC. I know it's impossible to know exactly how to fix it without checking it out but are there any typical problems with the AC that could cause this?

All I know about it is it's the guy's second car and he leaves it parked most of the time, could it just need a recharge?

Other than this stuff, are there any other typical problems I should look for?

Also what do you think it would be worth? it's automatic with 150k miles and it has skyjacker 6" long arm lift, warn winch, warn 2 beam fogs, front and rear warn bumper, heavy duty tire carrier, slip yoke eliminator, secondary fuse box, yellow top battery, intake system with K&N filter, quick disconnect programmer, and roof rack.

I've been trying to get an idea of how much it would cost by looking around but the prices I've seen vary greatly.

I bought my wrangler without ac, doesnt really bother me just take the top and the doors off. If i were you i would be more concerned about the check engine light.

Yeah well I live in Houston Texas, it gets kinda hot here.... all the time. Yeah I'm a little concerned about the engine light, but I'm getting cash with the jeep to fix the problems.

I wouldn't go for a already modded jeep. Chances are with all those mods it's been heavily off roaded and those 150k miles are pretty hard ones at that. Plus that lift isn't the nicest brand and who knows what shortcuts and hidden "goodies" would be waitin for you if you got it. Try to find one that is relatively stock. I learned the hard way.

I would crawl under it and check for damage, rust, leaks, and anything that does look right.

My biggest question is how much $$$ would you be getting to boot for your duramax? If he is going to throw in about 6 grand I would go for it. That would cover whatever he screwed up and leave you with a pretty sweet jeep.

Honestly, unless your durmax is a complete pile I wouldn't trade. 150k might be acceptable to some people, but I would look for one with less milage. The mods themself do really nothing as far as value goes. Stock and low milage is what adds value.

Finding one stock with low miles and modding it is the best way
