I have a leaking left rear brake line in my 98 TJ SE. It's leaking right where the metal line goes into the threaded fitting. I have tightened the fitting as much as possible yet it still leaks. Does that sound like there may be a hole in the line or a problem with the fitting itself? I have never messed with brake lines, if it needs a new line, is this something that is fairly mechanically inclined but has never done that could do without much hassle?

If it's leaking at the back of the compressed fitting replace the line.
