Arrow Help with Lift kit choice

Hello, new to this form stuff, so hope that this the right page.

I have a 2005 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited and I been wanting to put a lift kit on and go up one tire size from 31 (I think this is the current tire size) to 32. This will be first lift kit I've installed and I'm really not wanting to make a lot of changes such as lowering the transmission.

The lift I've have been looking at the Rubicon Express 3.5 Super-Flex system The RE7000-3 Super-Flex™ Quadratec Part No: 16300.406.

My question ?

Is this a good lift kit or which would you recommend ?

My jeep is stock, so would a 3" to 3.5" lift require additional

modification such as lowering the transmission.

Any advise / information / help is greatly appreciated.

I have driven my jeep from the windy city to California and to Glacier Park. So I like to keep the same ride but want to give it a small lift. Playing in the dunes on west coast is fun.

If you just want 32s why are you looking at such a large lift? a bb or 2inch coil lift should be fine for that. OME shocks are considered pretty good, as are blistens.

You will need an sye and cv drive shaft or a tcase drop.

32" is an odd size. Personally I would to the zone 4.25 combo lift with 33's or a 2" BB with 31's. Some nice shocks and you're set.

If you want a 32" tire just do a 1.25" body lift. This will not change the drive line angle at all. The 3.5" re kit is not worth the money. There are much better suspension components that can be had for the same amount, or not much more. I speak from experience since I had that same re 3.5" lift on my jeep and am replacing it part by part with savvy offroad stuff.

With 3.5" you absolutely will need to replace the rear drive shaft with a dc shaft, or drop the transfer case.

The point was already made earlier, you don't need anywhere near that much lift for a 32" tire. With thet 32" tire you only gain 1/2" of clearance. And lose 1/2" of fender clearance ( theoretically ) with the stock suspension .

Thanks to everyone for the information, its has helped a lot. So I going to rethink about lift kit and tires.. Just maybe I should go 3.5" and get bigger tires.. : )
Just need to see how that would change the ride and what it really take to install that kind of lift kit.
Which every kit I go with, I wan to make sure it done right.

The RE 3.5" lift will net you over 4" of lift. I removed a set of those springs from my rig and replaced them with 4.5" BDS springs. The RE springs were about .5" taller than the BDS. Don't forget that you'll need at least rear upper adjustable control arms with a lift of that magnitude.
