This 2001 is on ebay and I talked with the car lot on the phone, with them not knowing I was on ebay. They said they are asking $12,500 on the lot. It is totally stock and he says it is extremely clean. What do you think is a good price for this 2001?
Keep looking. You can do better. I just bought a 2004 with 40,000 miles (X model with automatic) for $10,000 flat. It is in good shape and has a small body lift with 17" wheels/tires. I looked at a bone stock 2003 X model with similar mileage for $10,500. Look on Craigslist.
I agree, I bought my 2002 with a 4" suspension lift with 33" tires and the body didn’t have a ding or scratch on and it only had 46k miles. Ended up getting it for $10k so just be patient and take your time, it took me over 2 months to find the right one and I don’t regret it one bit.
Too High....keep looking for others. Your best buy will likely happen if you are very patient in your search... You have the upper hand while shopping... your best laverage is the ability to walk a way from one and look at the next.
Good luck and enjoy the process.

First problem is you are looking at a jeep off a car lot. IMO, unless you are buying new with a the benefit of the factory/dealer warrenty, i would never buy a vehicle from a dealer. Look for a nice private sale off a site like craigslist.
To put things into perspective......I also bought mine off of craigslist.
-2001 wrangler 60th anniversary ed
-112k miles (yes high but read on)
-$1k stereo system proffesionally installed
-Soft and hard tops
-set (5) crager soft 8's with 32" bfg all terrains
He was asking $8.5k and I ended up with it for a bit under $7k about a little over a year ago.
Just take your time and there are deals out there. Do not rush and if you want to save $ stay away from stealerships!
I am patient and I will walk. This is a Sahara edition which is what I want. They do go for more than the X and Sport but I'm not into the market to know what people are actually paying so your information was very helpful. Edmunds and KBB are so different. I've been looking for about a month or so and either they aren't automatic, not the color I want, etc.
After looking at several higher milage and priced TJs, I found mine on Craig's List. 2000, bone stock, 4.0, 5 spd, 81k miles for $6500 earlier this year. Good luck, Im sure you will find what your looking for, take your time!
If Im not in my Jeep......Im on my
