Helpful tip

I recently installed 3 Contura rockers in the stock location. The site I ordered them from OTRATTW.com warned not to install them there because the upper bulb is visible to the driver when they are turned off. THIS WAS NO LIE! Annoyingly bright. So with a whole lot of patience and a pair of tweezers I slid a piece of black shrink wrap over the bulb and turned on the bulb. The heat from the bulb contracted the wrap and after a couple of tries I got it just right. Yes there is still some light leaking out but nothing like before. Hope it helps.

Also for the record the lens look really blue in the pics but are more of a greenish blue. Very close to the radio illumination.

Ok a bit of a retraction is in order. 2 of the 3 wraps I put on have come off in less than a week. Evidently I didn't slide the shrink wrap back far enough onto the flat part of the bulb and every time I drive the Jeep the shrink wrap keeps shrinking until it has rolled off of the end of the bulb. So if you try it make sure you push the wrap back as far as you can.
