Here is my first Jeep !

[/IMG]
O5 Willys . 4.0 ,6 speed 3.73 gears
it has 31 X 10.50's on it.
it has 55,000 mi. on it .
i need a few things for it right away.

1. one of the straps the hold the door from fliging open into the fender.
2. the plastic strip for the back window the slides thru the groove to hold it down/closed at the bottom.
3. i need some touch up paint if you know a good place to get a match.
and the right gear for the tranny so the speedo reads correctly.
oh and who has the best Manual so i can work on stuff myself?

then i will start with some of the dried out bushings.

The dealership is the best place for the best quality doorstraps. And I bought a complete service manual on eBay, but word of advice, don't lend out the manual because it'll never freaking come home!!
Oh and quadratec.com shoulda have the speedo gear

ROFL...yeah , they will be the first thing gone tomorrow.

i think i will make my own back bumper out of some tubing.
so i can put a recever in the center of it.
and then bed line it and the front.

maybe a new set of plugs, and i was thinking new shocks . but the ride is not really that bad.

Full doors

Plan to keep mine as original as possible with the exception of acquiring full doors some day. Greg

one of the straps the hold the door from fliging open into the fender.

Paracord with Cobrastitch works better/stronger than OEM straps.

i need some touch up paint if you know a good place to get a match.

Look up your paint code on the driver door sticker. Your local big autoparts store should carry Duplicolor touch up. Amazon is also a good place to order some.

Nice jeep man- good find. www.paintscratch.com will have the touch up you need, even if you don't have the paint code you can find the correct color.

If your planning on lifting it at any point and running bigger tires I'd just hold off on the speedo gear

$10, i got mine at the dealer for $11 (this should be moss green pearl) # PRN

one of the members set me up with a manual.

thanks for the paracord ideal. are you the one that made grab handels like that?? i want a couple of them.

i dont plan on lifting it for a long while. i would like a hard top tho. mostly for securety reasons.

as for the gear i would like to see what the mileage really is.
i top'ed the tank off ( over full i am sure) and have went 100 miles so far and its just moved off 3/4. i read on here the AVG. is 225 to 250 per tank.
so i just want to compare apples to apples as far as the real mileage.

i found out i need a jack. the one under the seat is gone.
can you find jeeps at the parts yard ? or are they well picked over?
