i am sure this thread has been done before but i was just wndering if anyone has mounted there hi-lift on the hood with homemade brackets. the tuff-stuff mount is around $99.00 and there is no wayi am spending more on mounting than i did for the jack itself. thanks in advance.
I haven't done it but that never stops me from opening my big mouth
The biggest concern I would have about mounting anything on the hood would be dropping it when taking it off or putting it away, why risk your hood when it would be much easier and safer to mount to a bumper?

Arguing with a truck driver is like wrestling with a pig in mud, eventually you realize the pig enjoys it.
I know there is a bracket on ebay that has 3-4 kc lights on it as well. They want close to 255 bucks for it. Ive been looking around at quadratec and cant find the mount alone. Where did you find the one your looking at? Im sure you could design something but personally id go with one pre built.

Mount it to the roll bars behind where the rear seat is on some jeeps. I spent about 8 bucks on fence brackets and 3/8 inch bolts and it worked like a charm and is out of the way, in case I ever need it.
