Hi Lift jack storage

I didn't see where anyone else had posted this before but I found a great way to store a 48" jack without mounts and keep it protected from the weather.I just laid it in the gap just between the roll bar and the tailgate on a 99 TJ.You need to crank the lift up between 8-10 inches to clear the latch assembly on the inside of the tailgate and put a couple of rags on both sides to immobilize the jack.It fits perfectly under a Besttop Half top and out of sight too.Hope this helps someone.

You don't secure it to anything? If not it could be a headache (or worse) waiting to happen.
