HID Fog lights

Anyone done this conversion? Looking at some sites for the headlight upgrade and saw them. Any issues with the OEM housings (heat/glare/etc.)?

I was talking to another member who converted Hella 500's to HIDs. I have an HID kit for stock TJ fogs, I have not installed it yet. They are DDM Tuning 5000K H3 HID Fog Light Ballasts.

I use the DDM tuning setup as well. From what I found, the stock housings are too shallow to hold the HID bulbs and be screwed together. Sounds crazy but I used a large socket and extension plus a torch to heat up the back center of the housing and pressed it out deep enough to fit the bulb and wires. I also had to remove a metal cover/guard inside the bulb receptacle.

I also discovered that using extensions from the ballast to the bulb creates enough voltage loss to prevent the bulbs from lighting. (unless I did something wrong. I troubleshot to eliminate the extensions) I moved the ballasts closer to the bulbs and eliminated the extensions and the both work with no issues.

the numerical designator for the fog lights are H3? H4 is for the headlights, what about H2?
