Wait, I've seen that thread. More than once haha. Do you have any pics of what the beam looks like against a wall?

Excuse the garage mess, the beam with the rampage housings (glass) are super wide. And the hids are bright as all get out

Oh yeah, all you need to do is but the H4 hid bulb with the kit and just install it.
Heres a link that I have gotten every hid kit from.

No I don't but hopefully I can get some good ones when I get back home and starting my rear build. Just get DDM 55w and throw them in your E-codes and you will be good to go. And adjust them.

I'm looking at the pics posted and it looks like they have some bad glare that would bother oncoming drivers. I hope it's just the picture. I know they won't have a sharp cutoff like a projector would, I just don't want to blind people.

But for $30 (that eBay link) it's cheap enough to try it out...

I don't have bad glare at all and when it comes to going up against other drives I haven't had anyone complain to me. I have been in another car coming towards my jeep and being in front of it and I wasn't blinded either. I am even at 4" lift plus 1.25 BL.

I will try to get better pictures than what is on that thread.

And DDM is $30 or $39 for 55W with a Lifetime warranty.

Sounds promising!

Yeah I've used DDM in my motorcycles, most recently my Yamaha R1. The only thing about them is I heard they give the same bulb for 4300k - 6000k. I'd like the 4300 as I want a color that's closer to natural white, not blue.

Looks like I know what my next project is...

You mean 4500k? But I haven't heard about them giving the same bulbs for the different Kelvin levels, I will have to look that up.

Yeah those. For some reason I thought I had seen 4300 somewhere. I had 6000 on my bike and wanted a little whiter light so I ordered the 5000 and there was no difference. Side by side they were the same color.

What ballast are you running? 35W or 55W?

Well I just threw some on. First impressions are good. None of the annoying glare you get with regular lenses. I'll post back after sun down with more...

Ok after a few nights I've come to the conclusion that I'm not satisfied. I can't get them aimed right. The driver side points way too far to the right. Even at the most extreme adjustment to the left it still shines towards the middle of the jeep. I don't know if it's the hella lenses or the hid bulb itself. The bulbs look straight.

Try some h3 bulbs thats what I put in mine and I felt it was way better than the hid. They should go right in your housings

The only reason I don't like your idea is because I'd like to have high beams too. If not, I would try it.

Ah yes, I had those. And they worked well with my upgraded harness. But I wanted more. So I tore out the harness and put in the HIDs. Looks like I'll be going back to the H4s for now.
