Angry High idle & hard brakes

Problem?
'97 wrangler SE, 2.5L - cranked it up one morning with real high idle and brakes hard to pump & not responding normally. Booster problem? HELP!

Sounds like the vacuum line to the booster from the intake manifold is compromised in some manner.

The issue will be compounded by the vacuum leak and the fact that higher engine RPM's produce less vacuum.

Thumbs up Problem Solved!

Thanks to the above replies. I found vacuum hose from booster to intake manifold dangling. Plugged it in and wala - idle & brakes back to normal.
