Ive got a 2001 TJ with about 98,000. Not a ton of miles but I was wondering about what kinda mileage is out there on these impressive vehicles we all drive. So post if your mileage is higher than the previous poster. Thanks.
If maintained it's very possible for the 4.0L to exceed 200k. I know of a couple Jeeps with over 200K and a friend of mine just sold an XJ with 240k. He finally had to put a head on it at 240K but that's because he let it get to hot.

My previous TJ, a '97, had 191K miles on it the last time I saw it and the drivetrain was still running as well as the day I bought it brand new in '96. The 4.0L engine and drivetrain is nearly bulletproof if properly maintained.

2000 TJ 4.0 with 152,000 miles on the clock, and going strong.
I add Lucas Oil at every oil change. I try to replace things before they go out. The Crank Shaft Position Sensor went out and left me on the side of the road. Funny thing, my code reader didn't pick up the code. With help from the forum, we pin pointed the
culprit. I also learned that 100,000 miles is a lot for for that sensor. I bought 2, one as a replacement And the other to have in the tool box.
I just bought a '97 with 191k on it... it runs and drives like a 50k vehicle. My mechanic says he routinely see 4.0's in excess of 250k... and that once a customer brought a 200k Jeep in with a rod knocking... and they did did small end bearings and nothing else and it was still running great when the customer sold it at 300k.
