I have a TJ and a GC. My son has a GC and my wife has the Liberty. One of these days I will get all 4 together for a pic. Right now my driveway looks like a Jeep dealership!

We have His and Hers Jeeps as well.
Mine is an '01 TJ with BB and 31's. Auto with soft top and half doors.
His is a '99 XJ we just bought about two months ago. It's completely stock.
Sorry for the bad pic, I need to take some new ones.
My brother has an XJ and my step dad has a ZJ as well, so we are a Jeep family.

I've had my 97 for three years now. Last month I helped my gf find her perfect Jeep. 2000 yellow 4.0 auto.
My mom has a 99 tj and oldest brother drives an 87.

I just bought my first jeep a bit over a month ago.

Since buying it I have been working on the fiance to trade her Scion Tc in for a JK. She always complains that the car is too small. So far she has said "no", something about people thinking she is a lesbian.
But she hasn't been too excited about the TJ until this past weekend. It was the first pretty day outside that we were both off of work so I took her for a ride to the park with the rear windows off. Now she's posting on Facebook about being on "team Jeep"... maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
You have all inspired me to keep pushing. Maybe I need to drag her to a test drive.

Side note: I also like the TJ better but I know she won't go for one of those. It would have to be a JK.

@Sherpa - Thanks for the story and hopefully you will get her back in a yellow one. At least she still misses that "Jeep feeling" so it will just be a matter of time!

@Gesedl - You do have a Jeep dealership, you just need a sign now! That would be a neat picture will all of them together.

@ellbee - You are doomed if you have the bug from your grandson's TJ. I rode street bikes years ago but by far the Jeep experience is much better to me. You could probably get a good TJ for the Goldwing

@littlethimble - Jeep family for sure, you will have to be real far back for that family portrait!

@vballspen - That is an awesome picture! I know my wife would NEVER let me do that do her jeep even if I knew how to get mine up on her tire!

@Dragonii - I think all you will need to push her over the edge is driving around on a nice day with the top down and the doors off. Do that and she will be hooked! I prefer the TJ as well over the JK but whatever it takes to get her in is worth it!

My wife and I actually now have 'his-and-hers' Chevys (Tahoe and Suburban) and the TJ, but some years ago, we both had Jeeps at the same time.

She had a 2004 WJ Limited and I had a 2002 TJ Sport. We called them "The Bride and Groom".

This is my sister's 2008 JK with my previous 1997 TJ

I recommend the 12 GC. Wife loves it. A ton. I drove from Columbia to Charlotte and back. I loved it too.

If all goes well within the next year or so the Patriot will be replaced with a JKU or a Grand Cherokee. The Patriot gets great gas mileage and we'll struggle finding another Jeep that gets close. My wife drives quite far to work every day so gas is a real issue.
'12 JK's have lots of power and good mpg to boot.

That is one of the few things that I will say my wife's JK has over mine, MPG. Granted hers is stock but it gets really "good mileage" and she drives a lot of miles every day for work (28k work miles last year). That is one of the reasons we never looked at doing any mods on it since she drives so much. I could not afford to drive mine that many miles, especially with gas still going up! It is not the most "practical" vehicle to drive every day if you put on a lot of miles but she LOVES driving it so we look at it as the cost of doing business. If you are on the road that much you need to like what you drive!

I have a 97 tj, my wife has a 11 Liberty & my father in law have a 93 yj. We are having lots of fun with them. Well my father in law and I more than my wife. I like to tease her about the kk not being a real jeep..it gets her fired up!

A friend of mine made em out of diamond plate. Mine is the silver and black. My sons is the red and black. It's not UGA red but he made it chilli pepper red to match the Jeep.

The issue is the material. I had some diamond plate and gave it to him to make the plates. Actually he didn't charge me anything and the source material was a piece someone gave me a while back, so I have zero dollars invested. There are quite a few people here at work wanting one made. If you had a piece big enough to cut the plate pattern and the G and could send to me, I probably could get one done (he wouldn't do another for free though).

I have no problem paying for one. Love the look. I expect to pay for someone else's work.

I don't have the material but if you have few coworkers also interested maybe can work something out. Someone local buys a sheet big enough to make a few, factor in cost for your buddy, and we all split it.

I live in SC so I would need mine shipped but I'd throw in $ to PayPal upfront if it will happen. And I visit Savannah a lot so if near there I could pick up.

We've had at least 1 Jeep of some sort since 97, sometimes several. We've got 2 at the moment, My TJ and her SJ. We're talking about picking up another SJ for our youngest son...

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an SJ?

I see no issue with that, he would not want it modified?!? Although, I guess I see your point, the wife won't let me touch hers either!

I have a 97 TJ, wife has a 89 yj that she only drives in the summer, and she has mentioned trading in her Nissan Armada and getting a new 4 door JK so me and my 11 year old can completely strip the yj and get it ready for him to drive when he reaches the age. She has met no resistance from me!

What about his and his jeeps? My wife doesn't see the need for more than one. It's really the only thing we ever disagree about.

@Trainwreck07 - That is a great idea, if she is willing then I would go for it. I know my 13YO is looking forward to getting to driving age, he keeps asking if he will get to drive one of them!

@79thump - How were you able to pull THAT off? And how does it work, switch off odd and even days

I bought a 01 TJ with a stick because I love to drive a stick but also because my wife can't. She loves riding in the jeep so much she now wants her own but a auto. Our friends think we are nuts for thinking about getting another but I won't give up the stick so if she wants to drive she needs to get her own. We take the TJ on the beach a lot but when all the kids come to the beach we can't all fit in it so having two would help a lot.
