I have an auto in mine, and love it! It's still very fun to drive, and you can drink your morning coffee without worrying about puttin the cup down to shift

To answer Woggie's question... it was pretty easy to pull it off. I've had the one TJ for a good ten years, and wanted a second. I told the wife I either want another TJ added to the mix, or a motorcycle. She knows my history with bikes... so there you go - two jeeps. I think I can get a third if I mention a boat...

I'd get the boat. It's a blast especially riding to lake with doors off on Jeep

We have had a couple of friends tell us we are crazy for having "his and her jeeps" and it got us wondering, who else does? Our response has been the same to any that have given us grief - You obviously have never driven a jeep. It is a jeep thing, you wouldn't understand!

We have not been able to get both the jeeps together outside of the garage until yesterday at a rainy baseball tournament. Not the best of picture but it is our first "family photo" though...

I have almost the same scenario as you. Ill try to get my wifes Jk and my TJ together tomorrow and snap a shot.

What color is that? I do not think I have ever seen it before.

@79thump - I hear you on the bike angle. I used to ride years ago and had wanted to get another one until we got the jeeps. At this point in life I think I enjoy driving with the doors off and top down on the jeep a lot more. I know in this area it is just UNSAFE on a bike with all the idiot drivers!

Yeah, a family photo would be cool for sure! You would have to stand WAY BACK to get them all in the picture

When I met my wife, she had an old pickup. We got rid of it and bought her a cavalier convertable. ( She always wanted a convertible..lol) I had a 97 wrangler at the time. In 02 we traded off the wrangler and got the 02 wrangler. We took turns driving ech vehicle. It got to the point we both wanted to drive the Jeep so we traded off the can and got the 05 LJ. We have his and hers Jeeps..lol I let her drive the LJ as it has a bigger engine and she has a heavier foot..lol

This will probably happen at some point.

Right now the GF drives an '08 Volvo S40 T5 that she loves, but is thinking she might want a new GC after this. Either that or she'll end up with my buddies YJ and her summer ride if he ever sells it.

I wonder if I could swing an "ours..." How does that work, whoever gets in first wins?

@Tractor1963 - That is awesome! Total build/rebuild then? How long you been working on her?

My wife and I drove His and Her Miatas for a few years. Used to get us some funny looks when we hung out with friends and had to take two cars (no back seat).

We are like that now with the Jeeps. My son does a lot of baseball tournaments and it is always a PITA to fit all the gear, coolers, chairs, etc, and 3 or 4 people in one Jeep so we always end up each driving our own. Sad thing is my truck is park in front of the house and we could all fit in it no problem.

They say the first step is admitting you have a problem, right?!?!
