Hitches

whats the best hitch to go with, square or round, im not going to use it for towing but as a substitute for a new rear bumper (cant affoard a good one just yet)

will be used to put a schackle or tow hook into the receiver for pulling me out of mud or whenever i get stuck..

would you suggest this or no?

what are the best options when cost is a factor?

thanks

The receiver shackles from Warn etc are set for a 2" receiver.

I think the square type goes better with the Jeeps lines. I have square and round on other rigs. Don't know that one is any better than the other.

yeah, thats what i was thinkin.. another question is .. i do plan on getting aftermarket bumpers.. so by the time i spend money for a hitch, drings and welding time on putting the drings to the hitch would i spend enough to buy an entry level bumper.. any recommendations on decent bumpers, that have a 2" receiver and dring mounts?

has anyone seen this on a Jeep, or have this one..

looks to be a full bumper with d-rings, called 4wd.com and they state that its not even available yet and they dont know if its a full bumper or just the stinger.. smitty builts website doesnt show or have it listed, but 4wd.com is still selling it on their site..
