Home made hardtop lift

Know there are plenty of variations of DIY Hardtop lifts but I wanted to share mine.

Mine was super cheap. 4 screw shank 3/8 eye bolts. Two long ratchet straps. 1 length of pipe insulation.

1. Drill holes in exposed rafters( my garage is ancient)
2. Screw in Eyebolts
3. Connect straps one per side, front to back with rear glass open. Thread straps between roll bars and hardtop and place foam insulation at contact points on hardtop.
4. Pull up slack and raise one side about 2"
5. Repeat on other side
6. If front tilts up, lift up rear. if rear tilts up, lift up front.

Cost $8 for Eyebolts since i had all other stuff.

hm.... ratchet straps.... why did i not think about that before!? this eliminates the need for pulleys and a hand crank. to the hardware store!
