Ya know 4bangertj, If you were a little closer, I would offer to shear and form a set for you, but I think peoria is not exactly local to so. cal. I have a shear that will shear 14' of 1/4" steel and a break that will bend 14' of 1/4" mild steel. After that everything else is a piece of cake.

I just cut some 4"x4" angle iron that was 1/4" thick to size and drilled 13 holes in each. Then bolted them up. I still gotta weld some tubing off the side but they are deff. good protection. Plus they were free!

We've made them before. Yeah it's more economical to buy a sheet of 3/16ths and do it yourself, but only if you have the right tools. A break is almost 100% needed. Unless you are just going to weld two pieces together and then you better have a jig or it's going to warp. The design part was the hardest, transcribing all of the measurements over to a piece of card board so we could get it right. The ones we made were very closely modeled after Spyders and were body and frame mounted.

Shouldn't be that hard. I picked up a couple pieces of 4"x4"x1/4" angle and figure I just have to cut the ends and mount 'er up...should be cake.
