home made snorkel ideas for tj

I am wanting to put a snorkel on my tj. I have a cold air intake that was on the Jeep when i bought it a few months back. I took it on a weekend trip and had some issues following the other guys through some creeks and pits. Thanks.

If you put any kind of snorkel on just remember to make sure all your vent tubes are up high enough to clear the deepest water you plan on goin through.

While people are posting GC videos... Thought I'd share this one... Damn I'm glad I own a Wrangler btw, it's a video by the same guy as the ones posted above. I've seen some of his other videos.. Let's just say I could go places this guy only dreams of with my ride in jeep toy I had when I was 6 that had no suspension and an electric motor...

Now back to the intended question of this thread.

Unless you're pretty crafty, homemade snorkels have a high potential for coming out rather.. Ummmm... rough.

Not to mention getting all the sizes and angles correct to minimize drone. This reminds me of a really cool design I saw. Look at jscherb's posts about what he makes. Starts on page one. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/show...ps-208776.html
