Homemade Flat TC Skid

A friend will make a flat TC skid for me.
We want to make it a bit like the 33 Eng. skid plate but more solid in the front because there my tranny skid plate will attach.
He told me that it will cost about 20-30$..
A crossmember will hold the tranny to the frame and then a plate (aluminum or steel) will be bolted to that crossmember.
Today we lifted the tranny up and there´s enough room over it with my 2" BL.
Do you see any other problems?
