I made a CB Bracket, that runs from left to right, & attaches via the existing front bolt holes for the door surrounds.
It worked out pretty well, as long as you don't use a Spider Web Shade, because I built the bracket (not thinking ahead) to where the CB sits a little higher than it should.
I even designed the bracket so that the coaxial cable & power/ground wires ran inside of the tubing for a more cleaner look.
I purchased a SWS a few weeks ago.
So, now I either have to re-design my bracket, or choose another location for my CB.
That switch panel is some nice clean work! I believe somewhere I still have the write up you did on this, in the hope that I can crudely replicate it someday.
It's a foot peg I made from my 65 mustangs blinker switch. It was ratty and chrome peeling. When I removed it and realized it was solid steel and very heavy... had to re purpose it! The end it threaded so I stuck a nut on the bottom so it can't fly out. Welded a flange so it holds in place. Works well!
