Homemade trail doors????

Has anyone ever made there own trail doors? I am going to try to make some just wanted some ideas, pictures , or blue prints.

You can buy DIY trail doors for cheap. Here is the kit I got but haven't gotten around to making them.

I made my trail doors out of 1/2 in plywood, they latch shut too

I did the plywood doors once and thought they were pretty cool til my jeep slid in a trench and a root cracked through and pinned me to the seat. Had a few splinters haha. My friends all made fun of me before I painted them but I didn't care cuz I made them and they worked great until that trip

I'm considering getting some of the netting that race cars use for windows. Attaching two pins that would slide into where the door hinges go. And finding some way to connect it across the door opening, maybe hook it on something. My goal here being net doors that I can roll up and throw in the back. Ultimate portability and all
