Made these from scrap metal at work. Just trace the hood hinges on to some paper for a pattern and cut them out. The only other thing I did was took the cheesy bracket out from under the hood that the hinge bolts go through and got longer 5/16 bolts and put nuts under the hood to attach them. Also make sure your brackets are angled forward so that the washer fluid still works.

Does it reduce any of your vision?

This is what I did with mine. What with the motor, winch and bumper, I didn't want anymore weight in front. Also this gets it out of the way and keeps the weight lower (COG). It doesn't rain here a lot maybe 8" a year on average so I don't have to worry about clogging up the jack.

No it doesn't reduce vision. It only sits 3" off of the hood.

I have been concerned by brackets some people have made and how they would hold up in an accident (if the jack would come flying into the windshield) But yours looks well made.

Thank you I thought about the same thing that is why I took out the cheesy bracket under the hood and used real bolts and nuts. I also did not want anymore weight on the rearend with the spare tire and Jerry cans.
