Exclamation hopefully someone can answer my question ?

so i finally got my rear o2 sensor(97se 2.5) out with a lot of heat and bp blaster. now the problem im running in to is that none of the shops i go to have one in stock napa, autozone, advanced ,ect. they pull up the pn but the connectors dont match. but i had one of the shops grab me a front one and the connector matches perfectly but the wires are about 8in longer . so hears my question can i use a front o2 sensor for the rear one ?

Should work. Difference is wire length. Both are just plain sensors. If you had buy a universal one for a tj 4cyl, it would show the same part #.

You have discovered what I discovered many years ago... that auto parts dealers seldom have the right 02 sensors that plug into the factory connector. However, the dealer has them and they are known good quality. Unless it's an emergency and the dealer's parts department is closed, I only use OE sensors. I learned that lesson many years ago.
When you have a choice, buy American.
