correct. I did the 35s for my re gear. I didn't even think about him not re gearing. I'm running 4.88s.

Depending on your gear ratio I wouldn't go higher than 33s. If the jeep came with anything smaller than a 30"tire my guess is that it has 307s or 354s. If it came with the 3.73s 33s would be fine.

Bigger wheels

As with most things Jeep, the devil is in the details! Somebody said already that 31's about as big as you can go without a lift, and if you look around for awhile, you should be able to find some 31's that somebody took off a Sport or Sahara with some decent tread left for somewhere between $500-1000. Depends on the miles left and watch the condition of the wheels! Aluminum wheels can get crappy looking if they aren't kept clean, which is why I run steelies, but for a first upgrade, you could do worse that just upgrading to some t/o's. Also, depending on what you have now, you might be able to get a little lift by upgrading just the springs to Sport or Rubicon springs, esp. if you are running a 4cyl.!

So far, I put approx. 5K miles on them and have experienced no excessive wear or performance issues. I can measure the tread depth and re-post the wear if you're really interested.

The TSL radials are an improved design for on-road use over their bias-ply design that they offer. I've had both and can honestly say they are much better in handling and noise reduction, especially in wet road conditions....far superior to bias ply.

The old school bias ply super swampers do wear like a dragster tire, but then again bias ply tires should be used for off-road applications only.

Honestly, I really like them and I'm glad I bought them. When these get trashed, I will upgrade them to 35" x 12.5".... The bug has bitten me bad!....need to go higher!

I will try again to post some pictures next week.
