How do I get these off ???

I am trying to remove the plastic pieces that are mounted behind the front flares. I see all 3 5/16" bolts and I have tried a ratchet but they just keep turning and not backing out ! on the bolt closest to the front flare I can see the threads of the bolt up in the fender well area but the other two dont seem to have access from either the fenderwell or the inside floor area to see if there is a nut of some sort on them. Any suggestions?

Yeah you have to pull the inner fender open from the body go behind there and there is a surprise waiting for you! I had the same problem.

My bet is that they used RivNuts or Nutcerts whatever you want to call them. You might have to drill them out if the are just spinning and you can't get to the back.

theres a nutsert behind there....its just spinning inside the body. if you want them off, just rip em off. you'll either rip the nutsert through the tub, which will leave funky looking sharp bulge, or you'll rip a hole in the flare extension.

great excuse to get rockers!

No, No, No, No... I had the same issue. Either pull real hard outward on the flare while backing out the bolt or wrap a pry tool with tape and place between the flare and body to pry out while backing the bolt. Basically there is a rectangle plastic nut on the back that is hard to get to. Good Luck!

Just took mine off today! For the rear, the two closest to the door and the last one toward the rear go into a metal insert that can come loose and just spin. The one at the rear I had to put a vise grip on and you can get to it from underneath. To get the others off REMOVE the inner lining which is not that hard but you'll probably break a couple of the plastic holding pins. No big deal as they're cheap. Reach behind the bolt and you'll feel a rectangular piece of plastic that freely spins as it gets loose. Just put some pressure on it and you're good to go.

On the front, the three closest to the door are talso he metal inserts. Hit them with PB Blaster and you can also get vise grips on them if they start to spin as mine did. The rest have the plastic pieces behind them.

The small piece by the rocker has 3 of the metal inserts but I couldn't figure out how to get vise grip on their backeside so that piece stayed on. If anyone has any suggestions that would be helpful
