Lightbulb How far can I push this little Jeep?

Hi all, I just bought my wife a 2001 TJ but its just a little 2.5l & Auto I gave her a set of 31's to play on the beach but with power and trans Im wondering what will this little twirp of a Jeep be able to do. I'd love to hear what you may have been able to do and absolutely advice on things I should never let her attempt with it.

Thanks

The engine isn't what's gonna limit you.

There's an obstacle at Rausch Creek that they call "Shoot the Moon". I have a goal of building my Jeep to be able to easily make it up this trail. Last weekend, three vehicles attempted it while we were there

First up was a TJ Rubi with a long arms. He didn't come close to making it up there. He couldn't get enough traction.

Next up was a heavily modified Chevy pickup. He didn't make it either. I think he was too heavy.

Finally, my buddy and his 2.5L YJ. After blowing a bead about halfway up, he came down to change his tire and then proceeded to crawl up without any troubles with old, cracked tires. He laughed about it and said the trick was that you needed all 4 wheels to make it. I think him being a whole lot lighter was the difference. This is the shot with him loosing the bead. He tried for about 5 minutes before we talked him into backing down for a tire change.

I've heard our 4 bangers are best for traction because theres less power to over spin the wheels. don't know if its true since my wheeling has been minimal and not much off road experience.
