How high is my lift?

bought mine used from a dealer, and I know it's lifted. I just don't know how high, and neither did the dealer. Is there a way to figure it out?
(I'd like/need to know before I replace my axles)

I'd guess 2-3", but that is only a guess. I searched the WF, but got hundreds of irrelevant threads.

Any direction is appreciated. I'll post pics later if that helps.

Measure your springs, then compare here:

If you have a suspension lift-
Measure to the bottom of the frame at the front bumper.. Stock Height is around 18 1/4"
You then need to figure out how much larger your tires are. Stock are around 29" (some had 30") However much your tires are over the stock size, you will gain 1/2 of that in height. (30" stock to 33"- 1 1/2 " gain in height.)
So if your around 23 1/4" to bottom of frame at bumper, have 33" tires, you are around 4" lift.

My springs are 13 (front) and 9 (rear.) By IGs chart I have a 1" lift.

There is 21.5" frame-ground @ front bumper w/31" tires. It is 21" from ground to bottom of tub at the door.

I tried to do the math for UGs chart and and my head almost exploded.

An easy way to tell if you have a body lift (BL) is look in the rear wheel well, see if there's a gap between the frame and the body if there's a gap, measure the gap distance and there's your BL. if you've got a Spacer lift also known as; Budget Boost Lift (BBL) look in your front wheel well and see if there's black, red, or camo colored spacer on top of the spring. if it's just a 1/4 " or so then it's probably just an isolator installed from the factory. if i'ts more than that say 3/4" to 1" it could be for just raising the front, if the previous owner had an aftermarket bumper or a winch it helps with the sag on the springs caused by the added weight of the bumper and or winch. a spacer 1.75", 2" and up would be for an actual BBL or leveling kit. Hope that helps.

no real gap between the frame and rear tub well, and definitely no BBL. guess I just have a 1" lift, but between the physical height of the vehicle and the fact that a 1" lift seems to be not worth the trouble, I am kinda skeptical.

It's possible they aren't factory coil springs. That could give 1" of lift depending on the spring, if it was new, or if it came from another vehicle.

x2.... Lots of folks replace saggy factory springs with springs from an XJ for a bit of lift. Take offs are cheap and it's an easy way to gain just a bit of lift... I'd guess that's what was done...
