How high is the lift on my tj?

Just bought it about a month ago
has 31 inch tires
can you guess how high the lift is? or if there's any way i could find out
cause i want to put 33's under it eventually
need to know if i should lift it more or not

there' about 6.75 inches between the tread of the tire and the fender in the front and 7 inches in the back
tires are new

here's a picture:

looks like 2" to me. My TJ sat the exact same way with 31's and a 2" BB.... does your Jeep have spacers above the front springs that look like hockey pucks? If so, those would most likely be 2" of lift. You could get away with 33's if you don't plan on any moderate to serious off roading. If you want to run 33's either get a 3" suspension lift or take the economy way out and get a 1" body lift.

Even with no spacers they do still make 2" coils but yeah dan188 is right that's a 2" mine sits the same also. If you don't lift it anymore and still put 33's on her might wanna change wheels to a 4-4.5 BS and different offset cause you might rub.

^^ very good point about the rubbing... I have the same wheels as you, Theo, and the wheels will definitely rub with 33x12.50's. The back wheels will rub against the frame, and one guy on here posted a thread a little while ago where he popped a back tire right after installing them since they rubbed so bad in the back... so either get better offset wheels like Adawg said, or get 33x10.50's... the "gambler" wheel (which you have) only has 3.5" offset which is crappy for running big tires unless you stick with 10.5" wide.

I'm gonna agree with two inchs of lift, as with the 33's i say invest money elsewhere intill the 31's wear out. I don't see much of a reason to replace good tires

I wouldn't see why not, I'm not a fan of them but I know a few people use them.

""Skyjacker lift"" SJ=2.5'' lift...the t-case drop is a dead give away.

Also..just adding 2''bb on top of your spring, Not a great Idea on stock control arms. With 4.5'' of lift your going to need alot more parts. Control arms, track bars, swaybar links..etc.

Easy way for you to stick 33's on there is simply add a small body lift 1'' or 1.25''. And you will be good to go.
