So ive been driving my 2003 jeep wrangler X for about 2 years now and i can still count on one hand how many other gold jeeps ive seen so send up some pics please heres mine
I think i want that black diamond plated around the front of the hood and front turn signals and yes i was told it the color was only offed in 03 i get alot of people that like it and now every one calls my jeep butterscotch lol
212 would be just the Rubicons but there were also Inca Gold SE, X, and Sports and no IG Saharas.
Rubicons were roughly 1/5th of all TJ's in 2003 so if you project that ratio that would mean we would expect maybe a total of 1,000 Inca Gold TJs (probably less than that) but that would just be a wild guess on my part. Still a very low number.
Here's mine. I have not seen another one in my area but my brother 17 miles south has mistaken some guy down there several times as he even has the exact same rims. Have tried to find him but no luck yet!

My first car was an inca gold 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon my dad had bought for himself as a weekend/date night car. Luckily he let me drive it through high school! It took 3 year of driving it before I saw another inca gold wrangler in person. I always had friends send me pictures of another inca gold jeep they saw around town but I had never seen it until I was on my way across town one day my senior year and I saw it. We both looked at each other and raised our sunglasses to make sure it was inca gold. Believe it or not we had mutual friends and he was also a high school student. We ended up meeting up later that day and talkin jeep for a a few hours.

When I first saw the photo of what is now my 2003 Rubicon, I thought it was Inca Gold, just not coming through right on the website. When I saw it in person, it is Desert Sand, got it anyway. I have loved the Inca Gold ever since I saw in in a 2003 promo for the TJ. I have a friend who has one and it is the only one in the area. It must have been a hard color to paint for it has never been repeated.
Well in 2013 jeep offered the jk in a color called amp'd which was almost just like inca gold. Maybe it also had to do with the 10th anniversary of releasing the rubicon model?
I'm really bummed......
We just noticed another Inca Gold at a local dealership a few weeks ago (never seen another in person). My wife has seen it twice, and I just past it yesterday in town. We live in a fairly small town, so I may have to let them know that there is only enough room for one of us here...lol.
