How many miles on a tank of gas?

I got somewhere around 220 miles on mine when I checked it. As you can see I have a somewhat different Jeep, and bigger, heavier tires don't help. Most all of this driving was highway and city driving. I noticed the first quarter goes down real fast then it slows down. The tank must be tapered towards the top or something??

i remember getting about 220 also in my 2004 rubicon with 5 spd.

that was with 5.13 gears and 35" tires. the odometer was way off though so can't be for sure my true mileage. But was always around 200 - 220 or so according to the odo even when it was completely stock.

Depends who is driving, the tank I am on right now when my gas light came on it was at 210, and I am the only one who drove it. If my wife takes it for any period of time, when my gas light comes on it is usually around 180-185, I keep the RPM's around 2200 and my wife told me today that she winds it out. Time to teach her how to drive OR take her key away

lol... I'm the only one driving my car. But I did notice a improvement when I started shifting earlier. I have a little yellow light on my dash that indicates when I should shift. I started going by that and I noticed right off I was shifting to late.

I was getting 215 consistantly with my shitty aftermarket intake.

Last fillup was with OEM intake and I got 259. So I'm hoping that continues....I'm 1/2 tank right now, and its looking good.

2001 I6, 5 spd, 31x10.5 tires on OEM wheels, soft top, hard doors. mix city/hwy.

oh and I try my best to abide by the shift light

Depends on your driving style and the way your Jeep is set-up.
I'm getting about 200-220, depending on a head-wind with softtop.
Running 4" lift, 33's stock 4.10 gears and 5spd.

It's a brick on wheels, don't expect to get great milage, it's all about the fun you get to have driving it and wheeling it.

2006 TJ Sport, light came on at 266 miles drove to 275 miles then filled up. 2/3 city driving and 1/3 hwy driving all stock, still had the 30x9.50x15 tires on it. Yes I was driving it very easy like an old man.

the quicker you get through the gears the better off you are on gas mileage( and no i dont mean running all out to get to 5th gear either)

I have an 03 with a 4.0. My last fill up I went 240 before the light came on and I filled up at 253. I've gotten almost 280 out of it one time. It was all highway though. I'm mostly city and highway the rest of the time.

I get right at 300 miles per tank, depending on the wind. I average 19 - 21 mpg with a 98 - 4.0L - 5 spd - 31's. All synthetic oils, made a big difference. Son-in-law has a 95 YJ 4 banger with 5 spd, and he does about the same. Work at the same mine, so same driving conditions. I do use Lucus gas treatment, and regular with Sea Foam in about 3rd tank, and monthly clean the throttle body.

If I only go 65, I can get almost 19 with AT I6 running on 31's. But my real answer to your question is "not enough".

It really varies, depending on how you use it. Don't count on a lot of miles.
