How Many Miles On Second Engine?

If you are on your second engine either 4 or 6 cylinder how many miles do you have on it?

Asking because watching CL to buy another TJ and seems like the rigs that are selling that have a new engine in them have over 125k miles on the chassis and more times than not around 10-15k miles on the new engine or transmission.

It seems like they go up for sale after only 15k miles and the price difference does not reflect the investment that had to be made to install a new engine when compared with a rig with 100k miles on the original chassis and the engine?

It would seem if you have 15k miles on an engine it would be good to go and worth keeping and almost seems like their bailing on the new engine.

I honestly think a tj either a 4 0r 6 cyl that took a new engine at 125k was not very well maintained. Whats the rest of the jeep like? Whats going to break next? ... I have been in the auto industry for 12 years. People ask me " how many miles will this car go? " My answer is always " depends on how well you maintain it " Hope this can shed a little light for you.
