How much does a hard top weigh?

Anyone know approximately how much a hardtop for a '05 TJ weighs? I need to make sure my hoist will handle the weight.

Just a quick word of caution to keep the hard top under tight control when lifting it up with a hoist. I gave myself a major black eye the weekend prior to starting a new high-visibility job when my hard top suddenly swung hard & its corner popped me in the eye while I was hoisting it up off the Jeep. I walked into the new job Monday morning with a major black eye & and probably half the women in a 90% woman company thought I had been in a fight over the weekend. I'm sure a few higher-ups had doubts about hiring me for a while after that & thinking I had probably gotten drunk & into a fight.

lol...around here, we usually are TRYING to convince our peers that we'd been in a fight so we look tougher. Like one night when my dad was playing with our dog (golden retriever) and he popped him right in the face...leaving him with a nifty bruise underneath his eye. My dad refused to let anyone believe that he WASN'T in a fight at the bar the night before.

Only 140 lbs? That's pretty light. Thanks. And also thanks for the warning about the swinging top. I will definitely hold on to it while I am lifting it.

Suuuurrre.... You just stick to that story

I actually have a hoist on it's way to me now. Will be nice to be able to pop the hardtop off by myself. I'll just have to make sure I don't let it pop me in the eye...
