how much oil does your jeep use

I have a 97 TJ 6 cylinder/5 speed, 220,000 miles and use about a quart every 3000 miles.

At this point, 116,000 miles, it uses none between my 3,000 mile oil and filter changes.

Just turned 119K, and it uses very little to no oil every 3K. I can pretty much refill the containers I used to put oil in the Jeep exactly to where they were.

My previous TJ 4.0L engine had 191K miles the last time I saw it and it didn't use any additional oil between its 5K mile oil changes.

You either burn it or it leaks out if you are adding that much.

Never said I had to add any. The engine uses all of it in the sump, pumping it to various parts of the engine. Your engine uses all of it too. As stated before, mine doesn't seem to burn much.

I guess I had better do an acurate oil usage measurement. Mine didn't use any oil for a long time, but this change went long to 6000 miles and I got just over 4 quarts out and that included draining the filter which probably still had a 1/2 quart saturated in the filter paper.

My 2.5L at 127K is not burning any, but I had some oil leaking out the valve cover by the firewall. Fixed it, then started seeping out the intake/exhaust side of the valve cover. Finally got it sealed...I think.

If it were English made, that would be considered the second half of the "Dual Oiling System" ( internal and external).

Here we just call it 'Rust Preventative"

No leaks and full at change time 2000 I4. It only holds 3.75 qts due to the late acquisition of oil pan skid.

No oil use with mine either. Only 70,000 miles though.
