how much will i notice with 4.88s

im thinking of re-gearing my jeep to 4.88s instead of selling it and i have a couple of questions..... are 4.88s ok to run on a daily driver?... how much will i notice in power and mpg going from 4.10 to 4.88s? im running a 4 cylinder it doesnt do bad on the hills but i would love for it to do better if the gears are going to make a good bit of difference i may just be keeping my jeep

yes that is a good price. usually 1100.

Just know at 70mph you're rpms are gonna be higher. Do you do a ton of freeway driving?

We'll if you keep your rpms the same around town driving, mpgs won't change.
But with more power your foot tends to be a little heavier.

I am looking at regearing my 4 banger too. I am running 31" tires. What size are you running? The reason I ask is because when I looked at several charts it looked like the 4.10 was what I needed to go with but you are trying to go down to a 4.88 Isn't stock a 3.70 or something like that? Now I am confused. Disregard the tire size question. I just saw it in your sig.

Those charts are designed for 1 to 1 ratio which is what your fouth gear is. It is not considering your overdrive. Your stock is 3.07 which unfortunatly is the worse the tj came in.

If your ever going to go bigger than 31's I'd reconsider going even lower.
ideal for 33's 4.56
35's 4.88
