Every 3.000 and for me that is every 6 weeks. Long daily commute and need it to last forever.

I'd say it depends on the oil you are using. Synthetic oil can go longer between changes. I use full synthetic in everything and change every 5k, but could go longer if I forget.

3K and I use a good dino oil and a good filter. That means it is changed every 6-9 months as I live very close to work.

I've used a 5K mile oil change interval for 45 years except if I've had the vehicle in unusually dusty conditions where I'll change it afterwards. To me, changing the oil every 3K miles is excessive which is just something that became popular after the quickie-lube joints started pushing it to boost their incomes. I don't think you'll see any vehicle manufacturer recommending 3K oil change intervals except for unusually harsh conditions, most feel 5K miles is more than adequate. And in 45+ years of driving and using conventional (non-synthetic) motor oils with 5K mile change intervals, I have never had a single engine problem or even a need for an engine overhaul. And I never get rid of a vehicle with less than around 120K mile or more. My last TJ had 191K miles on it when it was stolen and it never saw anything but 5K mile conventional oil change intervals except after wheeling in dusty desert condtions.

On all my little vehicles I change it every 5000 milel, regardless of time. Might be 6 months or 3 years. On my semi trucks every 10 K. Little stuff gets mobil one, semis get rotella.

I only put on 8K miles a year. How many months should I go between changes? I've been doing it every 3 months. ( I ride my V-rod March to November.)

I have a oil change needed detection system. Every time the engine knocks real loud and the light comes on I change the oil...

I change it about every 4-5 k depending on where and how I have been driving it.

Is it worth switching to synthetic?
On my first TJ I did this and it found a leak...
Concerned about switching this time.

I switched to semi synthetic, then to full synthetic 3000 miles later. She doesn't leak anymore than it did with conventional. Quieter too, except when cold when I first start the engine. Oh ya 161,000 miles and she runs sooo smooth.
