Post How to adjust the seatbelt?

Got my 2000 Wrangler a couple months ago and have no clue how to adjust the seatbelt. It looks like it should definitely be able to adjust it, I just can't figure out a button to press or something to move it. Thanks!

Turn the shoulder bracket to about 90 degrees then push up or down. It'll take a bit of muscles but it can be done. When you have it where you want it, be sure to pull down on the belt as hard as you can to ensure it is in the channel. There's like 4-6 levels in will lock into.

If you are still having trouble, take the cover off so you can see how it works. That'll help a lot.

I was thinking he was talking about adjusting the shoulder level but now that I think about it, he could be talking about a bad return spring. Who knows, he may be a one post wonder.

It was the shoulder height, I did the 90 degree twist and push and it worked, thanks!

Does this work on a 97? Mine sits to low on my shoulder and it didn't look like it was adjustable.

I'm not positive, but it'd be worth a shot. I have a 2000 and I don't believe much changed for the interior between '97 and '02.
