Hello Drake. To disconnect your sway bar take the bolts out of it on the axle end, then use some zip ties or similar to tie it up out of the way. Then go wheel it.

This is the best pic I have of the original sway bar link. You'll take the bolt out of that lower end that's hanging there. It'll be attached with a torx bolt to a tab on the axle. One per side. Hope that helps.

I have a quick question, I have JKS disconnects on the way and I currently have one broken stock link...can I go ahead and take off the stock links to save time on installation day? If so, does the sway bar then slide down and hang basically? What do I do about that?

you can but not if you plan on driving it on the road that way.

because it will be like driving a completely different vehicle. body roll will be extreme. i'm telling you from experience what i did before i knew better. if you go above 20 you are a danger to yourself which is fine. but you're also a danger to others.

2003 rubicon, 4" lift..33x12.5x15 Cepek Crushers, JKS quicker disconnects (until last month, then we installed Currie AntiRock system) but I ran the JKS for probably 4 years. Many times we came out of the woods all muddy and dirty and I didn't feel like hooking up the sway bars again...and highway driving was fine. Yes, there was 'some' body roll but the lift is good and solid so I never felt unsafe. And the steering wheel might have been off from center (don't know why) with the disconnects off but that didn't affect driving it on the road. If you have a lot of body roll, then you don't have a stiff suspension and it can make driving a hazard.

I say if you drive carefully its okay. I haven't had sway links on my jeep for 4000 miles. Take corners at posted speeds and just drive carefully in general.

you don't drive it to its limits unless you're in an emergency situation. so you won't completely notice the lack of sway bar until you need it because you don't drive it to its limits of grip until you're in an emergency situation. driving without the front sway bar is like driving without seat belts or airbags. you don't really care, because the jeep is manageable, until you need them.
