How To grease CV Joint in DS ?

Hello.

With what can I grease the CV ball joint in my driveshafts? I also have such small grease fitings at the end caps of my DS u-joints.
A standard grease gun doesn┤t work there.
I think I can remove these amall fittings with a swcrewdriver. Can I install some standard fittings then? Otr isn┤t that a good idea on a DS that turns very fast.

Just found a pic. I have these small fittings at the u-joints.

Thanks!
nicolas-eric

You need a needle that fits into those grease fittings. Ive seen them sold at autozone. Its basically a needle like you would use to fill a basketball, but for a grease gun.

I┤ve never seen that before. Do you have a pic of that needle?

My grease gun came with some adapters, but not with a needle.

I also tried it with that grease gun. But that also didn┤t work.

I hope that I can buy such a needle over here. Before my next longer trip I have to grease the DS.

Btw. is there such a grease fitting also at the stock front DS CV ball joint?

Hmm. I don't know. My jeep has a standard grease fitting and no CV on the front shaft.

I thought you have been in Germany for some weeks. You didn┤t learn the language in that time?

I don't know any German. I cheated. I had to find an online translator to come up with my last post.

these online translators are very bad IMO. for single words it┤s ok. but they do funny things if you want to translate whole phrases.

I could understand what you mean. But it sounds like a foreigner tries to speak German after his first German lesson.

It┤s ok to come to an understanding. But I wouldn┤t write business letters with these translators.
