how to protect/clean hard top

Now I'm sure this has been asked over and over again, and I'm sorry for all you salty dogs who don't have patience for people trying to learn, and I did spend some good time trying to search it out on this forum.... but I just put the hard top back on and it's not really as black/consistant/not matte as I'd like it, so is there a way/product to clean and protect it without making it wear out faster? Thanks!
Dale

Try a product called Protect All. I've used it on our fiberglass RV with good luck. You can get it at RV stores. At least you tried searching! We have patience with people who want to learn. I lack patience with those who are too friggin' lazy to do some research on their own first. As I've said, if folks would use "search" they could come up with more answers to help them solve their problem. You might get a few answers on a post, but using search you can get all the answers collected over years. Good luck with your top.

How does a hard top "wear out", other than in a roll-over?

I've used Stoner products for years on a variety of vehicles, F150, Mustang, Harley Super Glide... IMO nothing beats them. They have a whole line of stuff available online too.

protect all and stoner products. thanks guys. How I'm thinking that the top will wear out is that the paint(?) or black top will become more grey and less black. not so good

Look into 303 Aerospace Protectant, I've had it recommended to me a few times now. I haven't tried it my self yet and probably wont for a while, heading into the dark months now, but I will come spring time. Also if the top gets too faded you can always repaint it, then follow up with occasional UV protectant. Side note, I'm pretty keen on their windshield washer caplets. My garage is pretty small and having fewer bottles to keep around is always a good thing.
