Check under your shifter boot (manual) or under your shifter (automatic).
There should be one bolt under there.

Ok I'm a little late in this thread... But can someone tell me the trick to getting the front half of the console out in an auto TJ?? This is driving me crazy, I got everything unbolted and up just fine, but now I can't actually pull the front part out!! The stupid shifter is stopping it from coming all the way off!!

if its a manual, the boot is held on by a retainer ring, it should pop off (just snaps in) and auto works the same way but you dont get the extra play that the soft shift boot gives you. screwdriver between the two sections will pop it off

Hey Nander it can be done,i have done it a few times and i know it's a pain. Move your shifter out of park and back a few or all the way to negotiate the front up and over the shifter. That will give you some clearance away from the dash.

I found a screw at the bottom of the center console. And there is one in a cup holder.
