How would this lift work

I have recently purchased an 04 wrangler x. It is factory as best I can tell and running 31x10.50 tires. Anyway, i was playing with someone that has 4.5" lift with 35" tires and the diference is obvious.. so I have decided to go for a lift but still confused even after reading the lift reviews.

I do not want to do the "impossible" nor anything that would be considered extreme to most. What I want is to play with mild off road with a lot of on road driving. The local shops sale rough country, rusty and BDS lift kits (at least the ones I found so far). Anyhow, I am considering the BDS 3" lift with 33" tires. Would that be a good setup and allow me to play better with my friends? I have been told that once I go over the 3" barrier that I would need to do lots more to make it work. I am not planning on new gears for now but eventually would as I have no power machine now and expect it to be a lot worse after the tires increase.. I also dont want a lot of fender scrubbing and not sure if 3" is enough..

Your thoughts?

3 inches seems borderline with 33's as far as fender scrubbing goes. Just make sure you extend the bump stops some. But you would only have trouble on hard flexing so it really depends on what kind of wheeling you would do. And I couldn't comment on that brand, just the sizes... I do know once you hit about 3 inches your going to need about a 1 inch transfer case skid plate drop or an SYE kit. (Slip Yoke Eliminator - and a new drive shaft to go along) ...

Maybe some others are familiar with that lift.

3" spring and a 1" body works well with 33's and under most cases you don't have to spend the extra money on those other parts. DBS has a good rep as far as I know. I have only seen their CJ and YJ kits on the trail though.
