I can not blow this 2.5 motor up and suggestion

I am on my second 2.5 in my 97 Tj I blew the first one up last year when it over heated and put a junk yard yj motor in and it was junk ( blow by on the rings bad ) but I can't seem to blow up haha I am starting my 350 swap next weekend and I want to have fun first I ran the thing for about 2 hours bouncing of rev limiter then cut the fan belt drain all the coolant and oil and it still runs fine with no problem I have never had this much problem blowing a motor up haha I need help

Wrap a couple hundred feet of det cord around the block. Stand back though. Might be shrapnel.

we'll the government poured liquid silica in the "cash for clunkers" to kill all those motors.

Oddly enough they said that the 4.0l would sometimes crank the day after too! The 2.5 is the 4.0 more or less the same motor with the cylinders chopped off. Good luck sounds like a ton of fun.

Just A thought... If you do blow it and I mean big time blow it and throw rods or pistons or whatever.... you going to patch a big hole in your hood?

Always remember... Safety Third!

Why not just pull it out and sell it to a guy looking for a 2.5?? Way less effort and you get some bucks in the end

don't up the octane of fuel.. that will keep it from blowing.. put water in regular fuel to drop the octane and take the fuels lubrication properties away, and run it with no oil or coolant. that should kill it nicely

I hard to find a 2.5 around my area. They go from 800 to 1200 bucks here why not pull the motor and use the extra funds for your motor swap?

I just have to say wow. Who wouldn't pull a running engine and sell it? Or at least get it out of the fricken garage and blow it up in a mud hole or something...
