I cant stand it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

My transmission sounds soooo freakin bad....it works fine but I have zero confidence in it. I am not trying to be a noise freak.......any suggestions on trans rebuild or replacement......I have seen several rebuild kits from this sucks to ok that would be good but dont have a trusty trans guy around here that I know of....I looked at the rockland terminator, but its pricey.
Any experiences to share????????????

Um what type of noise is it making? Are you positive its coming from the transmission? Before spending that type of cash I'd make sure I knew exactly what the noise was.

I had a bad bearing in an axle. I was at the shop and they just listened to it and said my gears were shot and I needed a whole new axle. I pulled it apart myself and found the bad bearing and saved myself from the cost of a new axle.

This is a great time to make a video so we can hear and see what you hear and see. I have heard mixed reviews on Rockland (New York) when it came to Vette transmissions and gearing. What you said is spot on. Some have good experiences, some have bad. Its sucks we cant pinpoint one solid and reputable establishment, isnt it.

Your NV3550 transmission is normally kinda noisy. If it works fine I would change the fluid. Put the Mopar stuff in it from the dealer. But yeah, like others have asked, what kind of noise ??

Blademaker: Are you sure it's the transmission and not the throw bearing getting ready to blow?

I have the normal marble noises and a rattling sond on take off. but I started hearing bearing noises, chirpy bearing noises...makes me uncomfortable and I havent had the jeep long so my confidence is not so high cuz the second day I had to put a new rear end in it.The tranny sounds loose and rattly not at all like my ford truck which was tigh at 138k. I am not the wait till it blows the freak up and fix it kinda guy if it aint right were gonna make it right.

Chirpy bearing noises could be anything from a bad ujoint to a dried and worn out cup and socket in the front drive shaft (at t-case) or like I said before the throw out bearing, worst case scenario it is a tranny ready to blow so if you can't figure it out soon you'd better get it to somebody who can. Without actually being there it's way to hard to diagnose on here.
